It all started through developing eLearning modules designed for adults on topics that were a little dry, linear and passive with limited interactivity.
This started the thought...why was it as kids, we are encouraged to learn through active play, games and fun, but suddenly as an adult, you suddenly had to start learning passively and the 'serious' way? Everyone knows that time flies when you are having fun and it‘s a fact that you learn more ....so why the switch?
Turns out it's all societal beliefs and cultural - that as a child, it is seen as ok to 'play' and use games, but as an adult, you can't be seen having fun when learning a 'serious' topic.
But what if it I told you it was possible? That having fun and games actually makes you learn better and learn more without realising, yet it sticks around for longer... and there is research to support this!

Ally has always delighted in being able to contribute, add value and serve people and organisations and seeing them thrive.
Ally started her career with a desire to 'help people' through speech therapy, where she learnt about play-based and learner-led techniques.
However, this wasn't her calling due to her dynamic and curious nature, so she delved into various generalist HR roles for 15 years, with a keen interest in L&D, consultancy, metrics and organisation development whilst completing her MBA of HR with a distinction.
It wasn't until COVID hit, did Ally really find her life purpose - seeing people reach their potentials through online learning.
Through formal and informal training, Ally continued to hone her skills in graphics, videography, 3D modelling, animation, quizzing and content creation.
Through a Cert IV training and assessment and a UI/UX course, she added instructional design, adult learning and human-centric design principles to her repertoire.
She is passionate about constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity, to making more engaging, interactive eLearning courses to help people learn yet enjoy the learning process whilst obtaining a new skill, and be better than what they were yesterday.
